If you take pride in your lawn, our premium lawn maintenance plan is your easiest choice. Summertime in the Triad can take a toll on your lawn, our premium plan gives your lawn the best chance to survive through the tough summer months with perfectly timed applications with vital nutrients and disease protection.
Application & Schedule
The Premium Lawn Maintenance Plan includes 9 applications spaced roughly 4-6 weeks apart throughout the year. During the summer we will visit frequently for fungicide applications along with potassium, micro-nutrients, bio-stimulant, and soil surfactant applications. These are designed to not burn your turf during the hot months of the year.
The 1st applications of the year is super important for setting a good base for your lawn. It includes a slow-released nitrogen with a pre-emergent herbicide that will give you 2-3 months of protection against summer annual weeds like crabgrass. This is applied during February or March depending on soil temperatures and scheduling.
Roughly 6 weeks later, our 2nd applications will boost your dark green color with another application of fertilizer along with a second application of pre-emergent. This split application of pre-emergent will keep your pre-emergent strong adding another 2-3 months of protection to your lawn. This is applied during the months of April or May.
As we move into the early summer months, our 3rd application starts protecting your lawn against brown patch, leaf spot, and other fungus diseases. Along with the fungicide application, we add a bio-stimulant along with grub prevention and surface insect control. Bio-stimulant will increase soil health and help your lawn stay strong during the summer. Our preventive grub control will break the life-cycle of the June Bug, preventing its eggs from hatching in the soil.
The 4th and 5th applications are filled with fungicide protection, turf nutrients, soil surfactants, and bio-stimulants. Our summer fertilizer is low in Nitrogen, but high in Potassium and Iron. This will help deep root growth and rejuvenates the deep green color. You might be asking what is a soil surfactant? Soil surfactants help moisture/water move into the soil from the surface. This help to reduce fungus and improves the amount of available water for the lawn.
Our 6th application includes a calcium lime application, an iron boost, and crabgrass control if a breakthrough occurs. Calcium lime improves soil pH levels by balancing it along with improving the Cationic Exchange Capacity (CEC) of your soil, meaning it will allow the grass plants to access the nutrients in the soil easier. The iron application will improve color if adequate rain or water is applied throughout the summer.
The 7th application of the year is a soil boost for aeration & seeding (if you are planning on doing, or it will help existing grass to recover from the summer). It combines a micro-nutrient boost with various bio-stimulants for faster germination of new seed along with quicker establishment. This application can be applied before, during, or after seeding. It is completely fine to use a starter-type fertilizer when seeding as this will be a different type of plant nutrient. If you are wanting to aerate & seed, be sure to let us know and we will be happy to do it!
Finishing out the year, the 8th and 9th application will provide fertilizer and calcium lime for healthy growth the next spring. The fertilizer will grow deep roots during the dormant months and the plant will store up these nutrients for the spring. The calcium lime will help balance your soil pH, unlocking nutrients for your plant to use coming out in the spring.
Throughout the year, we will control broadleaf weeds along with nutsedge during the summer.
all of the above explained in a simple calendar breakdown :)
My yard sucks right now, how long till it looks amazing?
While every yard is different, being on this plan will usually turn it around within a year to two years. If your lawn has had previous application in years past the turn-around will be quicker. If you have a new construction with poor soil, it might take closer to 3 years.
When you schedule an initial consultation with us, we will lay out the best plan moving forward and give you an idea of the time it will take for it to look its best.
Can I start the plan anytime?
It is ideal to start in the Spring or the Fall, but if you are coming over from a different maintenance company or already have a nicely established lawn, you can jump in whenever.
I have some bad areas in my grass, will your plan help these out?
Yes! Our plan is designed to cover every square inch of your lawn giving it the best nutritional plan. In certain bad spots, it might take longer for grass to establish or grow its best, but overtime it will fill in. If you want quicker response on troubled areas you can add on a Compost Renovation for those tough areas that will introduce clean compost into your soil giving these spots immediate nutrients and a viable growing medium.
How do I sign up for this plan?
Simply schedule a free initial consultation with us and we will come out to your property, measure it, and help you sign up for the plan with your own account on our website.
